: Hello: : I have a nice Salvia that has Blue flowers and now by the end of June most of the flowers are shedding their tiny colored pettals. My question is this... : Can you Dead Head the Salvia and will it grow more flowers? If so, how? : Thanks. : Art in Connecticut Hi Art, You don't say which salvia you have, but most will rebloom if you deadhead. Try cutting just below the spent flower. If you don't see any new growth on the stem in about 2 weeks, cut the stem to the base of the plant. There are some salvias that are biennial and will die after they bloom and set seed. Newt
