: : Help! I'm new to perennials. How should I dead-head my lilies? All the blooms have fallen off, so should I pull the stamen out and leave it at that, or should I pull off the whole end that the stamen is attached to? I haven't touched anything yet for fear that I will pull off too much. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

: Hi Sheila,
: Just pop off the whole end that the flower was attached to the main stem with and all will be fine. :)

I am also very new to perennials and have the exact same questions as Shelia. However, could you possibly clarify what you mean by "pop off the whole end"?
