: : Last week a gardening friend invited me to take some of her black eyed susans when she was thinning her flowerbeds. While I thought we dug up enough of the roots, they're still looking pretty droopy.
: : Tonight another gardening friend said that I should just cut them back now and that they'd probably come back next year.
: : Do you think I should do this?? (I'm in zone 7). Thanks for any and all suggestions!
: My sister gave me some and they were looking pretty droopy too. I didn't cut them back, I just gave them some extra T.L.C. I watered them at the base of the plant daily and they snap right back.I love them and they reseed, great.
: Good Luck,
Thanks, Dianna! I'll wait a little bit longer, especially since we're supposed to get some decent rain today!
