Bleeding hearts prefer shade to part shade, where are yours planted? Mine get a good 4-4.5' tall and are covered with blooms each spring.

My mom had some in full sun and they were very small and only got a few blooms. I assumed this was because they were not happy in direct sunlight. It could be that they are a different variety, but I work at a very large garden center and have only seen the regular pink, white & fern leaf varieties.
