: Has anyone ever had all of their cone flowers chewed off at the top?. For the last two summers, as soon as the flower heads bloom the blossoms are chewed off. Some are backing up to a fence and it appears that whatever is eating them can walk along the fence.
: Help!!!! they are rapidly getting detroyed.
: We do have an abundance of squirrels & other critters around here.
: I live in northern IL. (northwest of Chicago.

Hi Carol,
Have you found your critter yet? If not, it might be deer. Try covering with deer netting.

Good luck,
Newt
