: My Gardenias are growing well and look very healthy with dark green glossy leaves. They did bloom this year , but not very much.I was wanting some one to tell me how to get them to bloom profusely and for a longer period of time. : Thanks, : Ray Dove : Comer, Ga. Hi Ray, You are very fortunate to have your gardenias blooming. Many folks can't get them to do that. If these are houseplants then consider adding a tablespoon of milk to your watering can. The milk has calcium and other vitamins and minerals that will help with blooming. If these are outdoor plants you could topdress with compost. An occasional watering with diluted milk, if water is necessary, will also help. Newt
