: : : I'm in Zone 5 and have a fushia plant in a hanging planter. What is the best way to overwinter or propagate a fushia?
: : You need to bring it inside, because fuscias are annuals in z5. Most people do not bother trying to overwinter annuals, but it can be done. The plant will prpbably loose all its flowers and many of its leaves, it needs a warm sunny spot and you may have to cut it way back in order for it to maintain itself.
: : The biggest thing to worry about is any insects you bring in the house with this plant. You should spray it at least twice with a good inscecticide before actually bringing it in. A couple of spider mites hitching a ride will destroy every plant in your house in a matter of a couple months.
: Here's a site that should be helpful.
: Good luck,
