: I have two very large clumps of ivy in a bed in my front yard. There are two other types of plants in the bed along with the ivy. One clump of ivy is about to take over another plant near it. How can I stop this? I thought about using a trellis. The bed has two large trees, two rose bushes and two other ground covers. I can send picture if someone has any ideas. Please HELP!!

Hi Melissa,

Ivy is an invasive pest in many states. If you put it on a trellis, you're still going to have to play referee. You may have to dig some out, but it's going to be an ongoing project for you.

I dug all mine out and I'm not sorry.
