Live in zone 5b/6 Hi Helen, Yes, creeping jenny will take over if you don't keep after it. Maybe what you want is a groundcover that clumps or spreads slowly to a predetermined size and has 'good garden manners'. If it's a sunny site, consider creeping thyme.
