I bought a box of Sedum at Costco - the kind that are just roots, no plant, and come 8 plant roots per box. I opened it up yesterday to plant, and they are obviously healthy because there is growth from them, but I can't tell if it is root growth or plant growth. They are thin white tentacles with green knobs on them. Should I plant these going up or down? The rest of the root that these things are growing from is more woody. I am just not sure if these tentacles are roots or plants because they have been in a box (i.e. dark), so they could be white because they've had no light. Anyone know which direction I should plant these?
