to plant liriope in hostsa or not to plant

: Hi..am wondering if anyone could tell me whether it would be wise of me to plant several liriope plants in my hosta bed.....i have a bed of 18 hostas and thought perhaps they would look good together, but now I am wondering......the liriope i have is the rapid spreading kind....please let me know!
