Pleasantly surprised by many tulip plants emerging this spring. The problem is only five have produced a stem with a flower. What needs to added or done to get the rest to bloom next spring?
I had a similar situation and after just seeing leaves for about 4 years, I dug them up thinking that they were the type of tulips that only bloom one season. Lo and behold, the very next year one that I had missed bloomed! So, sometimes just digging them up, adding compost and bone meal to the soil and replanting will be enough. Good luck, |
