: I have a friend that was in a Cinncinati greenhouse 2 years ago and bought a perennial. She did not know the name. I work in a floral shop and it is what we call genestra(filler flower). Our wholesalers know it as genestra. I do not know if this the common or botanical name. It grows about 4 1/2 feet tall and hers is yellow. At the florist it comes in pink, lavender, white, and yellow. I asked her to pick up others when she was back in Cinncinati, OH and they have never had it again. If anyone can help me find this plant, please contact me.

Hi Brooke,

I did a search at www.google.com and when I clicked on 'Images' I was able to get this site that shows it as some type of grass.

http://www.americandried.com/catalog/grainsgrasses.html

On the 'Web' search at google I got over 600 hits, but they all seemed to be either wholesalers selling the flowers or herbal preparations with genestra as the product or part of the product. I got through the first 7 pages (70 sites), so you might want to keep looking.

Good luck,
Newt
