: I'm looking for the name of a perennial. It is a very small plant one or two inches high and forms a small clump. The flowers are small yellow pouches (about half an inch) on single stems about three or four inches tall. Probably semi shade and probably zone 3 or 4. The greenhouse I purchased the original plant from called it a "slipper flower" but I cannot find it anywhere. It is not one of the orchids.

Hi Angeline,
The plant you describe sounds like the lady slipper orchid. Is this it?

This company sells only certified vegatatively propagated hardy orchids and does NOT dig from the wild.
