Sandi,
I sympathize! It was growing all over the side of my house when I bought it 17 years ago. I'm still battling it! Out of curiousity, my son dug (no care taken-ripped it up) some and planted it along the alley next to a utility pole. It has become a menace there as well. Huge! I always shudder when someone considers planting it. I have used Roundup on it with some success, but I never seem to get all of it. Good luck!
