: Hello! I acquired a bonsai tree from my son-in-law which he left in a vacant house for a week or so. It is still green but the leaves are barely hanging on the limbs. What can i do for this pretty little tree. I know nothing about growing a bonsai trees. Can you recommend a book? Thank you, Marilyn from Phoenix AZ
Hi Marilyn, I own around 50 Bonsai but mostly outside except 1 citrus. You did not mention if it is outdoor or indoor. I would prune the dead branches give a little diluted hoseplant fertilizer. If it's an indoor relocate it infront of a sunny window and if it's on outdoor, put it on a shady location and slowly under the part sun location. Let me know how it does. Belle Good luck
