The seeds of the plant also create new growth for the next spring, so if you don't want your's too thick, you might want to eliminate some of those seeds.

: : : Hope this helps you. You can at least experiment. You should have produced many seed pods. Let them dry out and plant them next year if you don't see it coming back.
