| This is an upright, broad deciduous tree. Leaves are dense, ovate, often lobed, light green, up to 3 inches long. Provides excellent orange-red fall color. Dark pink buds develop into single to semidouble very light pink flowers in late spring. Fruit are red with freckles, approximately the size of a cherry. Grows to 40 feet tall and 10 to 20 feet wide. This tree does well in most soil, but will be more attractive if fed peat and compost. |
