| This is a semi-weeping deciduous tree. Leaves are dense, ovate, often lobed, dark purplish-green, up to 3 inches long. Red buds develop into pink, single flowers in spring. Fruit are vibrant red, persistent, approximately the size of a cherry. Grows 15 to 25 feet tall and 8 to 10 feet wide. This tree does well in most soil, but will be more attractive if fed peat and compost. Not disease resistant. |
