| Increasing in popularity, the 'Fuji' apple is large, tapered in form, crisp, extra sweet, and red striped. The superb flavor of this fruit keeps very well and is great for baking. Harvest time is late October.
Careful early training, annual pruning and shaping are required to insure healthy and productive trees. Pollination is required for fruit production. Some varieties can set fruit by self-pollination while others require cross pollination. Good candidates for cross pollination are: 'Liberty', 'Ein Shemer', 'Dorsett Golden', 'Spartan',and 'Gala'. |
