| This is a semi-weeping, upright, vigorous, deciduous tree. Leaves are dense, ovate, often lobed, dark green, up to 3 inches long. Red buds develop into reddish-pink flowers in spring. Produces red fruit approximately the size of a cherry. Grows to 10 to 15 feet tall and 10 to 15 feet wide. This tree does well in most soil, but will be more attractive if fed peat and compost. Extremely susceptible to scab. |
