|H. orientalis are short, strap-shaped leaves grow basally, usually about 8 inches long. Dense, large racemes of funnel-shaped, six-petaled blooms are extremely fragrant. Darker blue varieties have a stronger fragrance. Flowerstalks are up to a foot tall, and flowers come in whites, pinks, blues, purples, yellows and oranges. Suitable for forcing indoors. Very fragrant flowers.
