| 'O'Spring' is a 'pale' cultivar with butter-toned foliage, the new growth bearing tinges of wine. Mature height will likely not exceed ten feet. Ilex cornuta is a large, evergreen shrub with lustrous dark green, often spiny, blocky to oval-shaped leaves, 2 to 3 inches long. Heavy crops of red or yellow berries, to 1/2 inch in diameter, remain throughout the winter. Effective hedge, screen, espalier, or garden specimen. Older plants may be pruned into small tree. Easy and durable. Extremely heat and drought tolerant. Does well in full sun or part shade in almost any soil. |
