| This is a semi-weeping, spreading deciduous tree. Leaves are dense, ovate, often lobed, gray-green to bright green, up to 3 inches long. Red buds develop into white flowers with a pink blush in spring. Fruit are reddish-yellow, approximately the size of a cherry. Grows to 15 to 25 feet tall and 10 to 20 feet wide. This tree does well in most soil, but will be more attractive if fed peat and compost. |
