| Mounding, compact, dense, spineless, deciduous shrub. Grows to 2 to 3 feet tall and wide. 'Green Mound' is a male variety and is resistant to many leaf diseases. Bright green leaves are slightly hairy, round to ovate, 3 to 5 lobed, toothed and heart-shaped at the bases, to 2 inches in length. Greenish-yellow, bell-shaped flowers are held in upright racemes, 1 1/2 inches in length, followed by rounded, deep red fruit, 1/4 inch across. A native to northern Europe and Siberia. |
