| This is a low spreading, dwarf type, deciduous tree. Leaves are dense, ovate, often lobed, dark green, up to 3 inches long. Red to pink buds develop into single, white flowers with yellow throats in spring. Produces red fruit approximately the size of a cherry. Grows 12 to 18 feet tall and 3 to 3 1/2 feet wide. This tree does well in most soil, but will be more attractive if fed peat and compost. Not disease resistant. |
