|This evergreen is usually grown as a shrub, but can be grown as a small tree. It's habit is a narrow to broadly pyramidal. Dark green leaves are linear with spiny tips. Leaves turn to a reddish-green tint in winter. It is a fast grower which makes it an excellent candidate for a high quality hedge. Trim hedges from summer to early fall. Can be pruned and will grow up to 50 feet.
