| Dense durable evergreen groundcover with distinctive fresh foliage. Dwarf cultivar which forms a compact mat with branches one on top of the other. Spreads as a compact mass of sprays of bluish-green foliage which turns slightly purplish in winter. Male. Can become quite wide-spreading with time. May mound upon itself and become 1 1/2 to 2 feet tall after many years. Cascades gently over rocks and walls. Little maintenance is needed in the landscape. Excellent bonsai subject. More refined appearance than most junipers.
