| Fast growing, columnar tree growing 45 feet tall and 25 feet wide. New foliage emerges vibrant red, turns rich green in summer and brilliant yellow-orange to fiery red in fall. Broad, 5-lobed leaves resemble that of a silver maple. Smooth light gray bark becomes deeply ridged with age. Showy red flowers precede foliage on intriguing reddish branches. An excellent large lawn tree. Species is native to eastern United States. |
