| Pendula is usually grafted at 6 feet high on rootstock that is upright in habit. It has graceful weeping branches that often reach the ground. The flowers appear early and are profuse small singles in pale pink. The height and spread are 15 to 25 feet.
Graceful, deciduous tree that is rarely grown out as a species, but rather as a variety of the species: var. pendula, var. autumnalis, etc. This group of cherries is extremly cold and heat tolerant, and if well established, can be a long-lived ornamental. |
