| This rounded, compact shrub has oval, toothed, dark green leaves, up to 6 inches long with distinctive parallel veins. In late spring produces small, tubular, white flowers in flat, terminal cymes of up to 3 inches across.
Flowers are followed by small metallic-blue fruit. To bear fruit a male and a female plant must be present. A superb shrub for the foundation or border planting. Resembles a low compact rhododendron from a distance. Blends well with other acid loving plants such as Azaleas, ferns, rhododendrons, pieris, etc. |
