| This is a heavy, early bearer. Fruit is glossy red, crisp, and tart at harvest. Becomes sweet during storage, keeps well. Harvest time is October. Careful early training, annual pruning and shaping are required to insure healthy and productive trees. Apple trees are susceptible to a variety of pests and diseases but are very rewarding when properly cared for.
Pollination is required for fruit production. Some varieties can set fruit by self-pollination while others require cross pollination. Good candidates for cross pollination are: 'Liberty', 'Ein Shemer', 'Dorsett Golden', 'Spartan',and 'Gala'. |
