|Arching, angular stems bearing alternate, lance-shaped leaves, 2 to 6 inches long. Flowers are pendant, tubular, and white with green tips. One inch long flowers are borne on the upper leaf axle and followed by a spherical black fruit. A wonderful woodland garden plant that should be used with other evergreen foliage because plants disappear during winter months. Often confused with or mis-identified as False Soloman's Seal, Smilacina.
