( T. E. Killin Shasta Daisy )
| 'T. E. Killin' has double flowers that are 4 inches wide and have yellow anemone centers. Often sold as Chrysanthemum maxiumum. A clump-forming perennial. Fleshy leaves are toothed and a glossy dark green. Shasta Daisies make excellent cut flowers, as they are long lasting ( most Chrysanthemums are). Tolerant of many soils, but do require water in hot, sunny climates. Divide clumps every 2 years or establish plants from seed. Grow Shasta daisies if you love to share plants with your friends. You'll all have plenty within 3 years! Remove and discard spent flowers to prolong bloom period. |
