Abies balsamea
( Dwarf Balsam Fir )
| Small, rounded, slow-growing conifer. Needles are dark green with white underneath. Excellent specimen for rock gardens, container gardens or other small space where cushion-like form may be appreciated. Small cones are dark violet before ripening to brown and releasing seeds. Dwarf variety 'Nana' often found in garden centers. Performs best when given partial shade and ample water in well drained soil. |
