| Monstera deliciosa is an indoor evergreen vine, except in the warmest climates. They are related to Philodendrons, and have similar glossy, leathery evergreen leaves that are divided. They need rich soil, good draining containers, occasional fertilization and require leaves free of dust. They prefer good light and high humidity. Outdoors they can attain a great size, but definitely need frost protection. Occasionally bear calla-like flowers, on 10 inch long spikes. Often sold as P. pertusum. |
