|'Grey's Little Leaf' is a dense evergreen shrub with small, delicate, neat foliage, with heavy crops of red-orange berries. Leaves are ovate and shallowly toothed, to 1-1/2" long, about 1/3 as wide as the species. Superb as an accent tree, with reddish-purple new growth. Trouble-free, fast growing hedge or background for flower borders. Shears well as topiary or espalier. Durable and long-lived. Native to the South. Tolerant of any soil and salt spray.
Important Info : Leaves have extremly high cafine levels and if ingested could induce vomiting, thus the species name vomitoria.
