| 'Malta' is a vigorous, upright lily. Bears racemes of large, bowl-shaped, light purplish-pink flowers; the lightly recurved tepals have mahogany midribs, red throats and red anthers. This is a showy plant for planting in the shrubbery or herbaceous border.
Deadhead spent flowers, but wait until stems and leaves turn yellow to cut back to within a few inches of the ground. Spring and fall are the best time to transplant, even though they can be transplanted any time. Provide ample moisture while flowering, but can take periods of drought otherwise. |
