| Black walnut is grown for its attractive foliage, high-branching, spreading growth habit and its edible nuts. Leaves are dark green, glossy, to 24 inches long each with 11 to 23 oblong leaflets. Nuts are contained within round fruits 2 inches across. Under optimal conditions, black walnut can grow to over 150 feet. |
