|Ace of Hearts is cultivated for its large, attractive leaves and very tall panicles of flowers. Leaves are poisonous if ingested. Leaves are basal, heart-shaped, elongate, dark green, red-veined on top, purplish below, to 14 inches in length. Flowers are white to light pink, small and star-shaped. Panicles reach up to 4 feet tall. Spreads to 36 inches wide.
