Populus tremuloides
( Quaking Aspen )
| Deciduous, spreading, short-lived, but prolific tree with nice, yellow fall color. Growth habit is pyramidal and narrow when young, becoming broader with age. This fast grower is not picky about soil, as it is seen growing in moist, rich sites and rocky, shallow clay. Most noted for it's leaves that flutter in the slightest breeze, thus the name Quaking Aspen. |
