| This flowering shrub matures to a height of about 30 feet tall with a width that is slightly less, yeilding an overall, rounded form. Fragrant flowers open anywhere from March to April and are reportedly some of the prettiest of all the deciduous magnolias. Flowers are white, sometimes blushed with purple outside and pink inside, with 10 to 14 slender petals. Soil should be moderately fertile and well drained. Plant in full to part sun. This plant is a cross between Magnolia kobus and Magnolia stellata. |
