|This is a dense, upright, deciduous tree. Leaves are ovate, often lobed, dark green, up to 3 inches long. Red buds develop into single, rose-pink flowers in spring. Fruit is red, approximately the size of a cherry. Grows to 15 to 25 feet tall and 10 to 20 feet wide. This tree does well in most soil, but will be more attractive if fed peat and compost.
