| This is an upright, broad, deciduous tree. Leaves are dense, ovate, often lobed, dark green, up to 3 inches long. Pink buds develop into white flowers in spring. Fruit are yellow-red to deep red, persistent, approximately the size of a cherry. Grows 15 to 25 feet tall and 10 to 20 feet wide. This tree does well in most soil, but will be more attractive if fed peat and compost. |
