| A reed-like, tufted ornamental grass. Usually found in warmer regions, but does fine in colder areas if heavily mulched.
Graceful, arching foliage has white stripes that turn to purple with the onset of fall, during which soft, hairy gray to purple flower spikes are produced. Provide shelter from strong winds. Best used at the back of the border, masses on large sites, or as a free-standing specimen. |
