| This is a semi-weeping, upright, deciduous tree. Leaves are dense, ovate, often lobed, dark green, up to 3 inches long. Rose red flowers appear in spring, followed by glossy, purplish-red fruit slightly larger than a cherry. Grows to 15 to 25 feet tall and 10 to 20 feet wide. This tree does well in most soil, but will be more attractive if fed peat and compost. |
