| This pendulous, climbing cactus is native to the semi-arid areas of Southwestern United States and Mexico. Stems are medium green and about 2 inches thick with 10 to 17 midribs. Aereoles produce 12 brown or white spines. Summer flowers are white on the inside, red on the outside. Does not tolerate temperatures below 55 degrees. Water well from spring to summer and fertilize with a low nitrogen fertilizer. Grows best in bright light with shade from hot sun. |
