| C. coccincum is a perennial that has a bushy growth habit with erect stems bearing terminal daisy-like flowers. Leaves are dark green, with 10 to 14 narrow lance-shaped, toothed sections. Flowerheads have white, pink, or red ray florets with yellow discs to 3 inches across. This species is very nice in a mixed border. Start from seeds sown in spring or divide existing plants then too. Thrives in summer heat. A nice cut flower. |
