| This is a weeping, dwarf type, deciduous tree. Leaves are dense, ovate, often lobed, purple-red, up to 3 inches long. Red buds develop into burgundy flowers in spring. Fruit are deep red, approximately the size of a cherry. Grows to 6 feet tall and to 8 feet wide. This tree does well in most soil, but will be more attractive if fed peat and compost. |
