| Ranunculus ficaria Bowles Double is perennial, tuberous. Leaves are basal, dark green, shiny, heart shaped, toothed, to 2 inches in length, with a long stalk. Frequently marked with silver or bronze specks. Flowers are yellow with green centers, solitary, cup-shaped, to 1 1/4 inches wide. Flowers turn pale yellow. Up to 250 species of this tuber or fiberous rooted perennial, but really only 2 widely available. |
